When I purchased this 1989 Toyota Pickup the frame has a section of 2 inch angle iron welded inside the passenger frame rail. When I set the chassis up on the frame jig the passenger side front leaf spring was reattached 2 inches forward of its original position and the entire rail was 1 inches lower then stock. The driver side was a little ways from needing that much repair, but I decide the best thing to do was to cut the rear half off and rebuild everything with .125 wall box tubing. All joints have been doubles up and the most notable mod are the 4 inch long drain passages I’ve added to the under side of each rail. Each drain passage has a 1/2 round backing plate that extends 2 inches past the port. Water and debris will find their way into a frame no matter what you do. This modification is just as strong as a solid box, but has the added benefit of being able to remove all the debris that finds its way in. The modifications done to the frame resulted in about a 2 inch lift from stock
Included with this purchase is the frame, the frame hole plugs I can find, the rear leaf spring shackles and the new rear leaf springs.
